There have been times when a repatriating employee is already at work on a new assignment, but the employee and/or accompanying spouse still need assistance with the challenges of cultural readjustment to home. In such instances it may not be feasible to provide a face-to-face two-day repatriation workshop. Hence, the development of a virtual repatriation workshop. These learning experiences are provided in a series of 60-minute telephone sessions for the employee, or employee and accompanying spouse. Those telephone sessions are augmented by worksheets and outlines attached to e-mail messages or fax transmissions to guide participant progress in cultural readjustment. The virtual repatriation workshop by telephone is conducted in one 60-minute session each week for either four or six weeks.
